Apple Donut Holes

About the Recipe


  • 1 cup Organic Unbleached Flour (King Arthur)

  • 1 1/2 tsps Baking Powder

  • Pinch of Fine Sea Salt

  • 2/3 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce


Step 1:

Heat cake pop maker.

Step 2:

In a medium mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk well until combined.

Step 3:

Stir in applesauce. Using a fork, lightly mix all ingredients together, just until applesauce has been incorporated into the dry ingredients. Dough should be sticky.

Step 4:

Liberally spray the cake pop maker with non-stick spray. Using a 1 Tbsp cookie scooper, spray the scooper with nonstick spray and scoop the batter from the bowl. Make sure the batter is leveled in the scooper. Release the donut ball into the cake pop holes and close the lid. Cook donuts until golden brown.

Step 5:

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cane sugar and a pinch of salt and mix to combine. Alternatively, add ingredients to a brown paper bag and shake. Add donuts to the bowl or bag and shake until donuts are covered.
