Public Culinary Experiences
Public culinary experiences are small, hands-on classes built around an inviting menu or theme. Cooking Basics focuses on transferable skills—such as knife work, timing, heat control, seasoning, and organization— so guests leave more confident using the techniques in their own kitchens.
Upcoming Classes

Who can attend
Cooking Basics is designed for ages 16 and older. A 15-year-old may attend when registered with and accompanied by a participating adult, with advance approval. Youth-only Junior Chefs sessions are listed separately when available.
Class experience
Guests work alongside Chef Cynthia and one another to prepare the featured menu. The small format allows for individual attention, questions, active participation, and time to enjoy what the class prepares.

Class size + length
Up to 4 participants in the current teaching kitchen. Most classes run approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the menu.
What's Included
Ingredients, instruction, recipes or technique notes when provided, and use of standard class equipment.
What to bring
Wear closed-toe, nonslip shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for cooking. Long hair should be tied back. Guests may bring a reusable water bottle and containers for leftovers when the menu permits.
Menus + dietary needs
Menus are developed with the group and confirmed in advance. Allergies and dietary needs must be disclosed before booking. Apex will make reasonable accommodations when a menu and workspace allow, but shared kitchens cannot be guaranteed free of allergens or cross-contact.
